The AU-X117 is designed to let you enjoy digital sound to the fullest. Reasons are highspeed power transistors, an elaborate power-amp configuration, our new stabilized ground circuit, large electrolytic capacitors and a large-capacity transformers used in the power supply. The amp has a power output of 40 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 47 watts per channel at 4 ohms (DIN). But on a more realistic dynamic basis, it delivers much more — dynamic power of 55 watts at 8 ohms and 70 watts at 4 ohms. It's an assurance that every additional dB you gain from a CD is yours to enjoy.
"CD Direct" switch
The "CD DIRECT" switch on the AU-X117 permits a CD input to route directly to the volume control and then the power amp, entirely skipping the input selection circuit, tone control circuit and balance circuit.
